FAQ

Common questions

Individual business and work travel to Russia requires a visa. While China and Russia have expanded certain group travel arrangements, these do not cover individual business visits or employment. A proper visa must be obtained in advance.
Russia maintains substantial consular representation in China: the Embassy in Beijing plus consulates in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenyang, as well as representation in Hong Kong.
The statutory minimum for the HQS category is set by Russian federal law and is updated periodically. Our team advises on the current threshold and assesses whether your compensation package qualifies.
The standard work permit is subject to annual regional quotas. The HQS route has no quota restriction. For Chinese nationals at qualifying salary levels, HQS is typically the more reliable and faster path.
Spouses and minor children of HQS permit holders are entitled to a corresponding visa category, allowing lawful residence in Russia. Family members of standard permit holders may enter on appropriate visitor visas, subject to applicable rules.
Our team works primarily in English and Russian. For Chinese-language coordination, we can engage translation support to ensure documentation accuracy and clear communication with Chinese-speaking clients.
