What is a Russian visa invitation (letter of invitation, LOI)?

A Russian visa invitation (Letter of Invitation, LOI) is a document that allows you to obtain Russian visa (for example, Russian business visa or Russian tourist visa). It cannot be used in place of Russian visa.

We recommend to carry your copy of Russian visa invitation (letter of invitation, LOI) with you as you travel, as Russian passport control officials reserve a right to request it as you cross the border.

To obtain your actual Russian visa, you have to submit Russian visa invitation (letter of invitation, LOI) along with required paperwork to the Russian Embassy or Russian Consulate of your choice.

FAQ

I want to get Russian tourist visa. Do I need to know my exact dates of entry/exit?

No. You should provide us with the earliest date of entry and latest date of exit from Russia. You are then free to enter and leave the country at any time within those dates. You must make sure that the dates are no more than 30 days apart, though.

Citizens of which countries don't need visa to go to Russia?

Please see the list of countries at http://visalink-russia.com/visa-free-countries.html
