Russian residence permit renewal

The residence permit can be renews (prolonged) for the term of validity of the passport, but not more than for five years. Residence permit to a stateless person is extended for five years.

The list of documents to be submitted for renewal of Russian residence permits:
1. application in prescribed form (1 copy)
2. a valid proof of identity and citizenship with a notarized translation into Russian
3. a valid residence permit in the Russian Federation with registration mark and marks the re-registration, annually conducted in accordance with the requirements of Article 21 of the Russian Federation Federal Law of 25.07.2002 № 115-FZ "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation»;
4. document confirming the applicant's means of ensuring he and his family members when staying in the Russian Federation living wage, or proof of his disability.
Application and the accompanying documents for the renewal of residence permits are submitted not later than six months before it expires.
All identity documents to be returned, and copies and notarized translation into Russian attached to the application.
The processing period for consideration of the request for renewal of residence permit - no more than 6 months.
